Who else has it worked for?
Case study – Leonard Cheshire Disability
Leonard Cheshire is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services to disabled people. The charity operates nearly 100 residential services in the UK, caring for a wide range of clients.
We trialled the eco-eclipse boiler energy management system at their Heatherley Service in Sussex, on the oil-fired boiler heating the main house.
Following a month-long ‘day-on, day-off’ trial, the eco-eclipse system recorded savings of 25.3%. After the success of this test, and a survey of other potential installation sites across the UK, Leonard Cheshire asked us to install the eco-eclipse in a further 13 services, taking the total number of eco-eclipse systems installed to 17.
We estimate the installation programme will save an average of 19.6% in fuel costs, with payback achieved over an average 16 months.
“Through the trial at Heatherley, the eco-eclipse has proven its ability to save Leonard Cheshire significant amounts of fuel costs, and also therefore noticeably to reduce our carbon footprint. We are very pleased to be able to extend the eco-eclipse’s fuel, money and energy saving benefits to a number of other residential services in our portfolio.”
