An example of this was Croesyceiliog School in Cymbran. A monitored test demonstrated savings of almost 28%, which on an annual gas expenditure of £34,000 gave savings of £9,400 per year. The cost of our two unit solution was £7,400. Energy & Environmental arranged for this cost to be met by 18 monthly payments of £411.

The cost in the first 12 months was £4,932 and the balance of £2,466 was paid in the next 6 months - with nothing to be paid in subsequent years. As can be seen the amounts paid each year were considerably less than the saving in the cost of fuel in those years.
