Central & Cecil Housing Trust embraces Energy & Environmental's energy saving capability and technical support
Background:
Edna House is a sheltered housing scheme consisting of 57 apartments, owned and managed by Central & Cecil Housing Trust. The heating system consisted of one MHS boiler and two CE boilers which have an existing Honeywell Aquatrol Temperature Controller. Results:
Central & Cecil Housing Trust approved our recommendations for additional works on site to deal with this problem which will enable the eco-eclipse to also control the two 3-port temperature control valves. Once this further work is completed additional energy savings will be obtained at the site. Following the successful test we have installed the eco-eclipse in a further six of their homes. As part of our added-value after-sales services and because of our diagnostic skills and experience, we have been co-opted onto Central & Cecil’s monthly maintenance reviews. We are working in partnership to review each individual site to identify repairs and improvements that need to be made to the existing heating systems to ensure that the eco-eclipse works to its full potential and that the systems are as efficient as possible. Over a 28-day trial the eco-eclipse saved 15.6% of the fuel used. In addition we provided valuable technical advice, supported by the PC Communications system, to prove that the two existing 3-port temperature control valves were not working correctly.
