Impressive Savings Please Barchester Healthcare
Background:
Barchester Healthcare is one of the UK’s most respected care home companies, providing award-winning healthcare to thousands of residents throughout the UK. Wood Grange is a modern Barchester care home. Heat and hot water are supplied by three Ideal Concord gas boilers and controlled by a Landis & Staefa RVL55. In February 2008 E&ES were asked to test the eco-eclipse on the site to provide remote control and monitoring of the site’s boiler plant and to generate energy savings. Results:
During a month long “day on, day off” test, the eco-eclipse recorded savings against the existing boiler controls of 34.8%. These savings were achieved without any loss of comfort to the residents. As a result of this performance, Barchester immediately ordered “The results that E&ES have achieved for us are impressive.
